Cherubs and the Leaning Tower — Pisa, Italy Photography Print

A weathered stone monument of cherubs holding an "OPA" crest takes center stage in Cherubs and the Leaning Tower, with Pisa's famous bell tower rising behind it against a clear blue sky. The tower's tiered marble arcades and visible tilt anchor the scene, while the foreground sculpture adds an unexpected layer of Renaissance-era detail to one of Italy's most photographed views.

The composition plays the pale grey stone of the statue against the warm white marble of the tower, with late-day light picking out texture in both the carved figures and the tower's columned galleries. The pairing of sculptural foreground and architectural backdrop gives a familiar landmark a fresh, layered perspective.
